Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Komoot Events ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Komoot Events. By registering or participating in an event, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If you are between 16 and 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and consented to these Terms.
3. Account Registration
- You may register with your email address or via magic link authentication.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information.
- One account per person. Duplicate accounts may be removed.
4. Event Participation
4.1 Registration
When you register for an event, you agree to the specific event details (date, time, location, requirements) as published by the organizer. Registration may be free or paid, as specified on the event page.
4.2 Waitlist
If an event is full, you may join the waitlist. Being on the waitlist does not guarantee a spot. You will be notified if a spot becomes available.
4.3 Cancellations
You may cancel your registration at any time before the event. Refund policies for paid events are determined by the event organizer. Failure to attend without cancellation ("no-show") may affect your future registration privileges.
4.4 Payments
Paid events are processed through Stripe. By completing a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. After registration, you have 30 minutes to complete payment; otherwise your reservation expires.
5. Event Organizers
Organizers using the Platform agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful event information
- Manage participant safety to the best of their ability
- Comply with all applicable local laws and regulations
- Handle participant data shared with them responsibly and in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- Not use the Platform for unlawful or fraudulent activities
6. User Conduct
All users agree to:
- Behave respectfully toward other users, organizers, and participants
- Not post offensive, misleading, or harmful content
- Not engage in harassment, discrimination, or intimidation
- Not spam, scrape, or abuse the Platform
- Comply with all applicable laws
7. Content & Reporting
If you encounter content that violates these Terms, is inappropriate, or raises safety concerns, please report it to us at abrz@bendingspoons.com. We will review reports promptly and take appropriate action, which may include content removal and account suspension.
8. Intellectual Property
All platform content, design, and trademarks are the property of komoot GmbH. User-generated content (event descriptions, photos, etc.) remains the intellectual property of the respective creator, with a license granted to komoot to display it on the Platform.
9. Disclaimer & Liability
Komoot Events is a platform connecting organizers and participants. We do not organize or supervise events directly. Participation in outdoor activities carries inherent risks.
- We are not liable for injuries, damages, or losses arising from event participation.
- Event organizers are responsible for the safety and quality of their events.
- The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
10. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may request account deletion at any time by emailing abrz@bendingspoons.com.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the Platform.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Potsdam, Germany.
